Hello, I am Hayeong Song!

I am a Computer Science Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech.

My advisor is Prof. John Stasko at the Information Interfaces Research Group.

My research goal is to enhance users’ (without statistical background) ability to analyze and gain insights about data through interactive visualization systems. To design and build such interfaces I leverage different ML models, visualizations, and mixed-initiative techniques. I am also interested in communicating uncertainty to users to support their decision-making.

Previously, I worked designing interactive visual interfaces that support multimodal (e.g., speech and touch) interactions to support expressive data analysis to users.
