Hello, I am Hayeong Song!
I am a Computer Science Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech.
My advisor is Prof. John Stasko at the Information Interfaces Research Group.
My research goal is to enhance users’ (without statistical background) ability to analyze and gain insights about data through interactive visualization systems. To design and build such interfaces I use data science models and visualizations. Currently, I am interested in capturing the effects of visualizations design and user background on people’s perception of the credibility of visualization.
Previously, I worked on communicating uncertainty to users to support their decision-making and designing interactive visual interfaces that support customized multimodal information representations (e.g., texts, images, and videos) based on user preferences and background.
